I FINALLY found and implemented the following solution:
👉 Enable SMS Forwarding to Your Mac
On iphone:
• Go to Settings > Messages.
• Tap Text Message Forwarding.
• You’ll see a list of devices signed into your Apple ID.
• Enable your Mac by toggling it on.
Wow.
I immediately fired off texts (from my Mac) to a handful of my neglected friendships with android users.
