The current moment in tech feels like the early days of COVID.
Companies are scrambling and disorganized.
The situation on the ground is changing fast.
Uncertainty is everywhere.
As an executive during COVID, here’s something I remember:
• Some situations require fast, decisive action.
• Other situations require unnatural calm and patience.
The hard part is deciding, and agreeing, which is which.
Then having the courage to do it.
PS. A second thing I remember... the press, news, and general hysteria rarely reflected the right move. The most helpful insights came from private, one-on-one conversations with people who had experienced navigating uncertainty.
