Task switching is STILL the death of knowledge workers.
New technology doesn't change that, but it does make it harder than ever to resist.

The greatest work of our career will be a result of long periods of uninterrupted focus OR be diminished by the absence of such focused periods.

Bouncing around and playing whack-a-mole has it's place. But let's not fool ourselves into thinking that's when we're at our best.
