We are in the "put a chatbot on it" phase of software consulting.
We are in the "put a chatbot on it" phase of software consulting.
If you get a proposal from a service provider that suggests building a custom ai chatbot, ask yourself one question:
"When have you had a GREAT chatbot interaction for a specific company?"
You haven't.
Disagree? Please, prove it (share link in comments)
I'm ready to change my mind, but haven't seen the evidence.
If you or your team wants an extra set of eyes to uncover other red flags in a software proposal, send me a DM and I'll reply with a loom.
What are other red flags, you might ask:
- $100k+ budgets for "MVP"
- 12 month delivery timelines
- 10+ page proposals
- Em Dashes (—), En Dashes (–) , and Hyphens (-)
No charge.
Nothing to sell.
Just a public service (expect replies over the weekend).
I'm trying to do my part to prevent the next wave of "failed software projects" for friends and colleagues.
At the current rate of change within technology, our time (and how we spend/invest it) is as important as ever.
