Cut the cord!
There was a period of hardware when everything had a cord.
• Vacuums had cords.
• Clocks had cords.
• Phones had cords.
• Headphones had cords.
• Computers had cords.
• Keyboards had cords.

Bluetooth and batteries helped us go cordless.

Unfortunately, the current generation of hardware has a new cord... the monthly subscription. The physical tethering has been replaced with a financial tether. An ongoing fee to use the hardware we already bought.

• Eight Sleep for sleep.
• ŌURA ring for movement.
• Ring cameras for home security.
... the list goes on.

Every unnecessary subscription creates a new opportunity. An opportunity for another wave of entrepreneurs to come along and cut the cord again.

I'll happily buy the scissors.
