I ran the same race, one year apart.
I ran the same race, one year apart.
Year two, five hours faster.
No major variation in workouts.
No more time committed to training.
Just a handful of small changes:
• No dairy. I learned it was causing 90% of my GI issues
• No food two hours before bed
• 90 more minutes of sleep each night
• Intentional protein. One gram per pound of body weight
• Daily greens (AG1) for vitamins and digestion
• No desserts
No single item made the difference.
The benefits stacked together.
Improve fueling → improve sleep
Improve sleep → improve recovery
Improve recovery → improve training
Improve training → improve results
None of this is rocket science.
It's so basic and consensus, I debated if it was even worth writing.
Which is the same reason we skip it in the first place. Not because it doesn't work, but because it doesn't feel special enough.
Sometimes "feeling special" matters more to us than the results we claim to want.
The race is done.
Now the real test: will I keep doing what works,
or go back to searching for something that feels more special?
