I'm only one finish away from unlocking "Veteran Status" (3 HURT finishes), a goal that's four years in the making.

Today, I've shared hundreds of miles with fellow HURT finishers from around the world. Dozens have become training partners, friends, and mentors.

Years ago, finishing the race felt impossible.
I didn't know anyone who'd done it.
Just one lap on the course nearly broke me.

None of the things I needed were waiting for me before I started. The skills, relationships, confidence, and support appeared AFTER I got started.

That's the reality of ambitious goals.

The trail doesn't reveal itself all at once. It appears one step at a time.
