Knowledge is like a circle.

Knowledge is like a circle.
The area inside represents what we know.
The edge, the circumference, is where our knowledge meets our ignorance.

As the circle grows, so does its boundary.
The more we learn, the more we bump against things we don’t know.

Knowledge and ignorance aren't opposites.
They expand together.

Examples from my own life…

Software engineering:
Every new skill, language, tool, or framework reveals ten more I did not know existed. The deeper I go, the more I realize how endless the field really is.

Entrepreneurship:
Exploring new markets, industries, and business models keeps revealing how much there is to learn about patterns, trends, and system dynamics.

Parenting:
Each stage of parenting highlights how little I actually understand about patience, development, and the human experience.

This is also why I struggle to believe in a true artificial general intelligence.
Every leap in knowledge or capacity exposes new constraints, new unknowns, and new limitations. AI isn’t immune to this challenge.

Progress doesn’t depend on having all the answers.
It depends on the courage to move forward without them.
