The quality of our questions shapes the quality of our outcomes.
The quality of our questions shapes the quality of our outcomes.
What do I mean by "quality of question"?
Example from parenting:
"Should we tell the kids?" VS
"What is the age appropriate version of this conversation?"
Example from friendship:
"Can I help?" VS
"To what lengths would I go to be helpful?"
Example from business:
"Can we do this deal?" VS
"What would it take to get this done?"
One version invites a yes-or-no answer.
The other assumes there’s a path forward and asks us to find it.
One makes it easy to stop.
The other demands intentionality, creativity, and a drive to make it work.
Better questions won't guarantee better outcomes.
But they do increase our odds of finding them.
