We admire the machine that never stops, never questions, never wavers.

We admire the machine that never stops, never questions, never wavers.
But humans get tired.
We get bored.
Lose motivation.
Get distracted.
Take potty breaks.

What if fatigue is a feature?

Each of those moments is a forced interruption.
A place where the system stops executing and can evaluate.
Breaks in the action allow systems to sync up, adjust course, and adapt.

They're built-in checkpoints.

Is this worth the effort?
Is this still the right problem?
Do I still believe in where this is going?

Machines don't tire.
They just execute with absolute conviction.

Remove the breaks and you don't get a better system.
You get a faster train wreck.
