"Can I take a day to consider it?"

That's the reply I got from Luke Baker on December 16th.

My request:
• Fly across the world
• Run 20 miles through the jungle
• Rocks, roots, and river crossings
• In the dark
• Within four weeks
• To accomplish MY goal

He said yes.

I've been thinking about what made me ask him in the first place.

Three traits keep surfacing:
- Adaptable: will walk into unpredictability
- Capable: handle whatever the moment demands
- Caring: show up for others

Yeah, he's a great guy.
But there's something deeper:
Luke felt safe to ask.

That's rare.
It's also exactly what I want to be for others, too.
