"How do we define success?"
Few questions have shaped my life more.

• Successful meeting.
• Successful week.
• Successful year.
• Successful career.
• Successful company.
• Successful relationship.
• Successful marriage.
• Successful life.

We talk about these all the time.
But have we actually defined what "success" means?

We assume the vague picture in my head looks close enough to the one in yours.

It usually doesn't.

The devil lives in the details.
Salvation lives there too.
The details matter.

Clarifying our definition of success is one of the kindest things we can do for ourselves and for others.

When we do, we find:
1. in some areas, we're closer than we think
2. in others, we're further than we imagined

Either way, getting clear about where we are is a critical part of moving closer toward what we want.
